Construction of a paint shop for the A380

The final paintwork needs to be done before the launch of the A380 and this puts high demands on both men and machines. To paint the approx 4,800m² large surface with the colours of the respective airlines, 1 ton of varnish and up to 24 painters at a time need between 12 and 24 days to complete the work.

Lodewick GmbH provided the complete paint-, process-, control-, breathing- and compress air supply systems and all sanitary installations. The pipes had to be installed up to 38 meters high. The pressured air supply required 6000 meters of pipes DN 200 – DN 15 with shut-off and security valves as well as tele platforms for the pressured air stations provided for each and every work platform.
