The Project

Construction of Gate A-Plus – zone “Wurzel”

With a surface area of 185,000 square meters spread over 4 floors the new gate A-plus currently built at the Frankfurt Airport reflects an investment of half a Billion Euros. Beginning with the summer flight schedule in 2012, six million passengers are projected to take off and land there. This will be equivalent to the entire passenger capacity of the Hannover Airport. The gate is 790 meters long and seven wide-body aircrafts can be parked there. Four parking slots are intended for the Super-Airbus A380.

Task

Until the 3rd quarter of 2012, Lodewick GmbH will have completed the installations of all sanitary appliances and fire-extinguishing systems. Since the planning and implementation will be carried out while the airport is in full use this will be a challenge.
