Berlin’s central train station– Lehrter station

Europe’s largest and most modern central train station has emerged opposite the Federal Chancellery and near the Reichstag building and Brandenburg Gate in the heart of Berlin.The project is named: Berliner Hauptbahnof – Lehrter Bahnhof. This train station was build on an area of 450 x 450 m and on 5 levels.

Lodewick GmbH was responsible for the entire building engineering services for sanitary installations, heating and cooling systems. The work was very demanding especially for the engineering department, site managers and implementation department of Lodewick, but all contract deadlines were met..

The Lodewick engineers had to ? draw 400 floor plans, 30 detailed plans, 11 heating and cooling plans, 9 sanitary installation plans, 45 shaft details and plans for 7 sanitary plants and 2 heating plants. After completion, the same amount of revision plans was drawn up.

It was a huge challenge to clear the building of rain and waste water.

Together with the Feluwa Pumps GmbH impressive lifting equipment was developed, designed and assembled. See pump data below:
